NORTHWOODS AREA SERVICE COMMITTEE OF N. A.

N.A.S.C.N.A. meets at 2:00 P.M. on the second Saturday of each month.

The next meeting will be held on July 12, 2008 at the Agnes S. Andreae Nature Preserve--5 miles east of 
Indian River (see below for exact driving directions).

Summer Campout!!!
"Recovery on the River VI"
July 10-13
Agnes S. Andreae Nature Preserve, Indian River


                                        - Guest Speakers on Friday and Saturday evenings
                                        - Fun, Games, Fellowship all weekend

                                        - "Primitive" Camping--tents and small campers welcome
                                           Donation requested (adults)--kids under 16 FREE

                                        - There is no reservation required for campsites, as there are no "true" campsites.

                                        - There is one large cabin that sleeps about 20-24 people in bunk beds
                                          Bring your own sheets/pillows/sleeping bags


            Directions to "ASA" Nature Preserve:  From Indian River, take M-68 east for 5 miles, turn left onto
                      Onaway Road.  Follow Onaway Road for (approximately) 1.5 miles, to Riverwood Road.
                      Turn right.  At the "T" junction with Big Sky Trail look for entrance to Preserve (gate with 
                      Preserve sign).

                                       - Hot Dog roast and Speaker on Saturday evening

We will be doing some cleanup and painting to ready the site for our summer campout on July 10-13.  Please come and enjoy the fellowship while serving the Area and the Nature Preserve.  Primitive camping available, as well as a cabin with many bunk beds--bring your own sheets or sleeping bags, food and drinking water, and other "essentials" ("t.p.", flashlights, etc.).

We encourage anyone with experience or a willingness,
