Area Service Committee Meeting Minutes

1.      Meeting opened at 10:30 am.  The Serenity Prayer was recited by all in attendance.
2.      12 Traditions read by Stacy S.
3.      12 Concepts read by Lauren T.
4.      Definition and Purpose of an ASC read by Bobby R.
5.      New GSR’s are as follows:  Kyle J. (Get a Life), Daniel L. (Just for Tuesday), Ian T. (Freedom Seekers).
6.      14 Groups reported this month.  The following groups requested:  Go Tell it on the Mountain- In need of attendance, Let’s Get Better Together-Requests support for attendance, Primary Purpose-Requests attendance, service, willingness and donations., Get a Life-Pizza party held on August 22, Recovery Zone-held its group picnic on August 17, their group meeting was held at Butcher Park.  Serenity on Sunday-Ice cream social held on August 26.  The group celebrated its 10-year anniversary.
7.      Treasurer’s Report:  General Fund Balance:  $825    7th Tradition:  $17    Group Donations:  $117    General Fund Totals:  $959
8.      Subcommittee Reports:  H&I-needs volunteers see attached report.  Activities-Beginning balance-$1218. No report.  Literature-work group, and new literature pending. See attached report.  Newsletter-always in need of content.  See attached report.  Outreach-reported there is a need for attendance support of most of the meetings he visited.  See attached report.  Public Relations-given $75 for supplies and a banner purchase.  Convention-Road Rally fund raiser was a success.  See attached report.  MSO-Office in need of an Office Manager for day to day operations.  Books need reconciliation. MSO board meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at the MSO.
9.      New Business:  Motion number 08122018-01 to make the Macomb Area a 501 c3 non-profit. Cost is approximately $200.  See attachment.  Lauren T. resigning from Web Servant position, Dave M. nominated for Web Servant.
10.  Treasurer’s Report:  Balance before expenses:  $1079    Expenses Total:  $462.31= H&I-$317.71, Newsletter $71, Public Relations $75    Balance after Expenses:  $716.69    Regional Donation:  0.00 
11.   Open Floor: Next campout date is June 21-23, 2019 at Groveland Oaks Camp Ground.  Next Administration meeting is September 9, 2018 at 9:30 am.  Regular ASC meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m.
