Reading of the Service Prayer read by Towana N. 6. 11 GSR’s present and quorum was met. 7. Group Changes: Go For It and Nothin’ But Hope have now merged and have the name of the group is Go For Hope. Works the Steps or Die will meet the second Saturday at the Alano Club. This meeting has been changed and the changes will take effect beginning in January. 8. MSO- (Marty K.) The Service Office has restricted order capacity from NAWS. Please call ahead to ensure your groups or personal orders are available for pick-up. Please see attachment for complete MSO report. 9. Helpline-There are group workshops pending. The dates are to be announced later. 10. H&I- (Steve L.) Need volunteers for MCJ, SHAR Macomb, and Harbor Light both male and female. Please contact Kathy C. if interested. Contact information pending. Macomb Regional Facility doing well. 11. Literature-Jonathan P. next Literature meeting is January 12, 2019 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at the Eastside Alano Club. 12. Newsletter- (Jocelyn D.) requests artwork, poems, experiences, strengths and hope stories to be shared for the front page of Macomb Miracles. Recovery puzzles will be included in the newsletter beginning in January. See attachment 13. Outreach- (Scott R). requests volunteers. Outreach monthly meeting to be scheduled later. 14. Public Relations-Frankee L. No outings due to inclement weather. Continues to attend other support meetings including: FAN, HEAL, and Hope Not Handcuffs. See attachment 15. Web Servant- (Dave) has made changes to website including meetings updates (Let’s Get Better Together and Closer to the Heart.) 16. RCM- (Paul G.) Regional meeting will meet the 4th Sunday in January. No current finance statement from the MSO. Service symposium scheduled in January to be held in Florida. Members from other states may attend by using Applications called Zoom and Slack. MDRCNA meets the 3rd Sunday of the month at 1:00 pm, at the MSO. MDRCNA needs support. Please see attachment for complete report. 17. Convention- (Carl K.) reported MACNA Convention was a success. Please see attached report. 18. Policy- (Paul W.) no report. Guidelines and questions… 19. Old Business: Newsletter budget granted $70 for budget period, H&I budget granted $500 for budget period, Helpline budget granted $60 for budget period. 20. New Business: Literature budget proposed $20/ or $80 dollars per year for budget period. Motion #12092018-01 requests a donation of $733.04 for the MDRCNA Convention. Pros: To demonstrate willingness to support in our regional conventions, funds will assist with the billboards, which will further our message of recovery. Cons: Convention has not proven trustworthiness currently, Earmark funds for MRCNA and allow this regional convention to determine if they want to donate the funds to MDRCNA. Motion #10292018-02 requests expediting the ASC non-profit status tax identification process. Pros: begins the process, to hire professionals, has been voted on, follows guidelines for this process. Cons: Better to use funds for the tax identification rather than the convention. 21. Treasurer’s Balance: Group Donations- $744.44, Convention Donation- $733.04, Totals before Expenses- $2,328.48, Expenses- $294.09, (rent $20, H&I $204.09, Newsletter $70), Balance after expenses-$2,034.39, Regional Donation-$1,209.39 Prudent Reserve Balance- $825.00 22.
