GSR – Group Service Representative

Term: 1 year
Requires: 6 months clean time (area can adjust)
Duties: Attends Area, carries group conscience, reports back to group, votes on motions, etc.
Secretary

As of the Nov 16, 2025 ASC meeting, the following groups were absent (no GSR present):

  • Project Return
  • Step Up
  • Serenity in Sandusky
  • Reach for the Beach
  • Vision of Hope
  • Nothing But Love
  • Courage and Hope

Clean time: minimum 2 years.
Term: 1 year.

Duties:

  • Sets and runs the ASC agenda and meetings on time.
  • Co-signer on the BWASC account.
  • Conducts elections and phone votes when needed; upholds BWASC policy.
  • Helps prepare incoming Chair; attends all BWASC meetings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months NA service; understanding of Traditions, Concepts, and BWASC policy.
Clean time: minimum 6 months.
Term: 2 years total; first as Vice Chair, second as Chair.

Duties:

  • Assumes Chair duties when needed; assists Chair.
  • Coordinates and supports subcommittees; point of contact; attends meetings; helps with annual budgets.
Clean time: minimum 6 months.
Term: 1 year.

Duties:

  • Records and maintains minutes and BWASC files; handles correspondence and phone-vote records.
  • Reviews motions for clarity; updates policy guide annually after September; attends all meetings.
Clean time: minimum 6 months.
Term: 1 year.

Duties:

  • Assists Secretary with minutes, files, and distribution; same general qualifications as Secretary.
Clean time: minimum 3 years; minimum 1 year NA service.
Term: 1 year.

Duties:

  • Safeguards all funds; maintains ledger; gives monthly written report; keeps receipts and documentation.
  • Maintains prudent reserve and budgets; reconciles monthly; manages co-signer process as required.
  • Financially secure and inspires trust of BWASC.
Clean time: minimum 3 years; minimum 1 year NA service.
Term: 1 year.

Duties:

  • Meets Treasurer qualifications; assists with deposits, records, and reconciliation; ensures continuity of financial procedures.
Clean time: minimum 6 months for standing subcommittee chairs.
Term: 1 year.

Duties:

  • Informs the public about NA consistent with Traditions 10 and 11.
  • Submits monthly written report; manages annual budget.
  • Responsible for the phoneline unless a separate team exists.
Clean time: minimum 6 months for standing subcommittee chairs.

Duties:

  • Maintains and updates the Area website in cooperation with Public Information and Meeting List.
  • Posts approved minutes, guidelines, and announcements; ensures content aligns with Traditions and BWASC policy.
  • Coordinates with officers and subcommittees to keep information accurate; reports monthly to BWASC.
Clean time: minimum 6 months for standing subcommittee chairs.

Duties:

  • Encourages group participation at ASC; supports groups with information on policy and processes.
  • Coordinates with GSRs to identify groups needing support; may organize GSR workshops consistent with Area practices.
  • Provides monthly written report and any budget needs to BWASC.
The following groups are asking for support and trusted servants (GSRs, secretaries, treasurers, coffee makers, etc.). If you can help, talk to the meeting chair or secretary before/after the meeting.

  • Morning Reflections (Mon-Fri, 10am, 710 Pine) — needs trusted servants.
  • Afternoon Delight (Wed, Noon, 617 10th) — in need of support and home-group members.
  • Project Return (Thurs, 7:30pm, 1029 6th) — needs trusted servants.
  • Vision of Hope (Fri, 7pm, 617 10th) — needs trusted servants.
  • Bridge to Recovery (Mon, 7:30pm, 805 Chestnut) — needs trusted servants.
  • Courage & Hope (Sun, 6:30pm, 805 Chestnut) — needs trusted servants.

Some of our meetings need support filling trusted servant roles. Bring your experience, strength, and hope to help keep these groups alive and carry the message to the addict who still suffers. Our Seventh Tradition reminds us we are self-supporting, not just with money but with time and service. Your willingness matters.
