Macomb Area Sub-Committees

The Activity sub committee shall in support of our 5th Tradition coordinate various activities i.e. workshops, learning day, social events and other special events.  Follow the suggestions in the area Activities Committee guidelines as appropriate for its needs.

The area H&I committee is a sub committee of the area service committee ASC.  The ultimate goal of H&I is to get our message of recovery to any addict whose attendance at regular NA meetings is restricted.  The area H&I committee sub committee play a central role in the overall H&I service effort.  It initiates, coordinates and conducts the local NA hospitals and institutions meetings within it’s area.

The purpose of the Literature sub committee is to coordinate the creation, development nd revision of the literature for the area.  Also to work on literature based on area input prior to presentation for area review and or approval.  To lend support to area and Regional literature committees through the sharing of experience in written and verbal communication.

This subcommittee is essential to the growth of N.A. in the area and needs assistance from many members to achieve their objectives. This subcommittee serves as a liaison between N.A. and society as a whole. This subcommittee compiles an Area Meeting list three times per year (or as needed). It provides and carries the N.A. message to those who may not have heard of us or misinterpreted us, informing them of what we do and where we are available. The goals of outreach service are to assist groups in solving problems that may impede their growth or threaten their survival and to help groups overcome many kinds of situations. by encouraging increased knowledge, contact, and exposure to NA as a whole, provide panels and workshops to increase the understanding of the NA service structure.

This subcommittee maintains a telephone information service for Narcotics Anonymous that helps addicts and others in the community find us easily and quickly.

This Sub-Committee shall review any possible policy changes; seek guidance in a better understanding of our Traditions and report back to the Committee and follow the suggestions in World service Conference Committee Handbooks as appropriate for its needs.
